Saint Francis University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month position of Aviation Maintenance Technician Instructor in the Aviation Maintenance Technician School in the Division of Professional Studies. The Aviation Maintenance Technician Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students pursuing careers in aircraft maintenance. The role requires a deep understanding of aviation maintenance practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career in the field.
Successful candidates will meet, at the minimum, the following qualifications:
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification is required.
- Several years of experience working as an Aviation Maintenance Technician.
- General aviation experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to problem solve and think critically.
- Experience with aircraft and technology used in the field.
- Willingness to work in a dynamic and evolving educational environment.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications Include:
- Previous teaching or instructional experience in an aviation maintenance program.
- Experience with or ability to learn LMS systems for online coursework is required.
- Additional aviation-related certifications and endorsements are a plus.
