YOUR ROLE AS A: Building Maintenance Officer
As a Building Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and safety of all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, and related building systems within the site. You will play a key role in maintaining client-owned equipment and leased spaces while supporting operational efficiency, safety standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:
Maintain all client-owned equipment within the site by performing Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of company-owned equipment and leased spaces.
Conduct routine inspections, checks, and monitoring of all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with standards.
Assist in establishing, reviewing, and maintaining appropriate spare parts and maintenance consumables stocking levels; fabricate, modify, or repair required parts as necessary.
Analyze and troubleshoot operational issues related to electrical systems, instrumentation, fire protection systems, carpentry, plumbing, and other facility-related systems.
Implement and comply with Environment, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) policies and procedures; maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, hygiene, and sanitation.
Perform and respond to technical service requests from clients through the ISR system.
Provide regular updates to superiors regarding inspection results, planned preventive maintenance activities, corrective maintenance schedules, and other operational or maintenance concerns.
Support water and energy conservation initiatives; implement cost-reduction and continuous improvement programs and collaborate with stakeholders on improvement projects.
Purchase maintenance items and materials from local hardware stores when items are not readily available from existing supplies.
WHO YOU ARE: Minimum formal qualification in a technical field (Electrical and/or Mechanical).
At least three (3) years of technical experience in building engineering and maintenance or an equivalent role is preferred.
Trade school graduate; NC II certification is an advantage.
With background and working knowledge of MEPFS (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Systems).
Knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of Air Conditioning Units (ACUs).
Familiar with the set-up and operation of basic sound systems.
Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
