Assist aircraft mechanics/ technicians in servicing, maintaining, repairing, and overhauling aircraft and aircraft systems which may include dismantling, repairing, overhauling, and replacing parts and assemblies. Performs duties such as facilitating materials, tools, and supplies to the mechanic, and cleaning work areas and machines, tools, and equipment. Required to clean aircraft, interior and exterior parts, and assemblies with solvents or other cleaning solutions. Inflates tires, fills gasoline tanks and oil reservoirs and greases aircraft. May assist mechanics in preparing aircraft prior to the flight and post-flight maintenance actions. Receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level mechanics/ technicians for position-relevant tasks.
