Job Responsibilities:
- To weld various types of defects on magnesium and aluminum alloy castings per customers specifications
- Places castings in pre-heat furnace for required length of time
- Selects proper electrodes, machine setting and gas flow rates and welding rod in accordnace with suitability for the casting alloy to be repaired
- Colour codes weld rod in accordance with instructions in Quality Control procedure
Qualifications:
- Completed two year post secondary or formal apprenticeship or equivalent experience/training
