As an Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer at MFC, you will join one of the largest networks of engineering professionals, implementing cutting edge technologies on both existing and new development platforms. You will be helping us solve the world’s most difficult challenges supporting such wide-ranging domain areas such as aircraft flight command and control, air traffic control, health care, and homeland defense. What You Will Be Doing
As an Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Packaging design updates and design documentation processing including Requirements/Concepts (RC) Design Assurance (DA) Reviews, Implementation (I) DA Reviews, Pre-Release (PR) DA Reviews, EPCAD input packages and fully released drawings
- Create and correlate analytical models to provide guidance for product development
- Interfacing with EE, SE, PS, Planning, Program Management, Prod Ops and ME in a team dynamic
- Research, design, develop, and test a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment
It is possible that travel will be required to both customer and supplier sites. It is possible that travel will be both within and outside the Continental United States (CONUS).

Candidates filling this position will need a US citizen and will need a clearance at the level specified in “Clearance Level” or will need the ability to get a clearance if not specified. Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Secret Clearance
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.
Have required existing CREO experience
Must be proficient with using Windchill for data management and workflow collaboration.
ZUKEN experience or similar tool
Desired Skills:
ElectroMechanical Design Experience
Familiarity in all the various types of manufacturing associated with cable assemblies, PB/PBA, and enclosures (Machining, brazements, etc) preferred.
Knowledge and experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Working knowledge EPDM tools or equivalent
Exposure to DFx Principles (Design for Affordability, Design for Manufacturability, etc.)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint)

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
