Job Description SummaryGE Aerospace is offering the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and applications, specializing in aircraft engine design and analysis, in a technology base. Turkey Technology Center (TTC) in Kartal/Istanbul is one of GE Aerospaces nine engineering centers throughout the world, supporting aviation-related R&D and innovation projects that expand with new investments.
Design Engineer will be a part of the Advanced Mechanical Design teams, responsible for the mechanical design activities of various module and components for the next-generation engine programs and relevant technology demonstrators, execution of design review cycles/ hardware releases and test support for the technology demonstrator rigs, Ground Test and Flight Test Demo engines.
We are looking for design engineers in following domains:
Rotors (blisks, disks, shafts, …)
Structures (cases, frames, …)

Essential Responsibilities:
- Execute the design of parts in technology demonstrator programs, performing component/assembly level design assessments for engine structures/rotors/airfoils hardware in accordance with the required DPs
- Work closely/efficiently with global teams performing module and component level design adhering to business standards, practices, procedures and product/program requirements
- Right size design efforts via working closely with CEO to meet tight deadlines while satisfying key requirements
- Contribute and adhere to daily management routine, standard work activities and work aligned with KPIs
- Develop a project plan establishing work packages, milestones, objectives in accordance with program schedule, manage deliverables according to the up-to-date plan
- Document lessons learned and ensure continuous improvement
Requirements:
- BSc in Mechanical or Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited college or university
- At least 3 years of experience in Aviation Engineering position, hands on experience in engine design
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated skills in utilizing multiple engineering tools, UG NX, ANSYS
- Strong cross-functional teaming, coordination and communication skills
- Highly motivated, self-starter who is passionate about inventing the next generation of aviation technology
- Demonstrated accountability, ownership skills and diligence in meeting commitments within tight and fluctuation schedules
- Ability to guide and influence others
