JOB OVERVIEW
Seeking experienced F-16 APG Mechanics to support Final Assembly and Checkout (FACO) surge operations. Responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctions, system checkouts, major system installations, and wing installations on F-16 aircraft. Secured facility—no cell phones in the work hangar.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Disassemble, repair, reassemble, and adjust aircraft systems
- Follow technical specs, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations
- Conduct system checkouts and ensure operational standards
- Support final assembly and major system installs
- Rig and align aircraft components
- Assist with landing gear, powerplants, and flight control operations
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of aircraft crew chief/mechanic experience
- Experience as Crew Chief, Plane Captain, or A&P Mechanic
- F-16 or other fighter jet (F-18, F-22, F-35) experience preferred
- Must pass background check, DOT drug test, and basic health physical
- Valid US driver’s license & US citizenship required
SHIFT AVAILABILITY
- 1st or 2nd shift after training (Monday – Thursday)
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM
PAY PACKAGE
- $32-38/hr (based on experience)
- $1/hr shift differential for 2nd shift
- Split per diem for qualified candidates:
- $22.25/hr untaxed
- $178 daily untaxed
- $890 weekly untaxed
- OT paid at time and a half
- Weekly pay (after the first week)
MUST HAVE 4+ YEARS OF F/16 (or some variant; F/22, F/35, F/18, etc) Maintenance/Mechanic experience.
