Position Responsibilities
* Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication, extrusion, tube bending, and fabrication tasks. Basic Qualifications(Required Skills/Experience)
*High School Diploma or GED
*Minimum 6 months experience with Manufacturing, Fabrication, and/or Aviation.
*Minimum6 months experience/proficiency with typical hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, etc.) Use of high-impact vibratory tools.
*Minimum6 months of experience with pneumatic/hydraulic equipment.
*Minimum6 months of experience/ability to perform computer searches to look up/read/comprehend technical work instructions, drawings, and/or specifications.
*6 months+ of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite, and/or other specialized computer applications.
*Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals
*Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
*Conventional material layup, precision measuring, power, pneumatic, and hand tools.
*CNC experience.
*Crane Operations experience.
*Experience reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, material processes, schematics, and diagrams in aviation. Job Duties
*Performs composite lay-up, fabrication, and assembly tasks.
*Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
*Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains.
*Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products.
*Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products.
*Prepares test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices to perform various tests.
*Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.
*Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.
*Works on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements. Physical Requirements
