Crane Aerospace and Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Technician at our Lynnwood, WA location.
Job Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for miscellaneous activities including building and grounds maintenance and improvements, and constructing manufacturing work stations, shelving, and tooling.
Essential Functions:
- Perform / assist with tasks not currently assigned to employees, contractors, or vendors in maintaining or improving the Lynnwood site buildings and grounds, and general facilities manufacturing support activities
- Safely work with hand and electrical tools including ladders, lifts, drills, hammers, tractor with mower, shovels, pruning tools, ratchets, wrenches, pneumatic tools, skill and table saws, pressure washer and painting tools
- Perform various yard and building maintenance tasks including painting, cleaning, and repairing building doors, signs, posts, steps, rails, walls, etc.
- Perform minor landscaping, sweeping, pressure washing, etc.
- Build production benches and shelving assembly projects
- Clean, organize and move materials in out-buildings, spaces and sheds
- Any other task assigned by supervisor or management
Non-Essential Functions:
- Clean and maintain tools and work spaces as needed
- Provide support to other facilities employees as needed
- Sign off work as performed
- Organize daily activities as priorities are set
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: Some experience using mechanical and electrical tools for general maintenance, construction, or related applications
- Knowledge: Knowledge of general mechanical principles
- Skills/Abilities: Ability to follow verbal and written directions, mechanical drawings, and diagrams; Ability to complete general maintenance tasks with minimal supervision; Basic computer and math skills; Ability to work with other facilities and production personnel as a team on projects and to adapt to changing instructions or conditions; Good hand-eye coordination, ability to climb and work on 12ft ladders and work from heights up to 25ft on man lifts; Ability to operate a tractor with brush cutter
- Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent, or technical/trade school degree/certificate
- Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with constructing mechanical assemblies
- General building construction experience
- General facilities or residential maintenance experience
Working Conditions:
- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
- Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
- May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
- Work may be indoors or outside; Outside work will be performed primarily during summer months except in the case of an urgent need
- Landscaping work may frequently require working in rainy and/or cool conditions related to a typical Seattle non-winter climate
- Physical requirements include lifting, climbing, ladder work, forklift driving (training provided) and use of tools requiring physical strength and dexterity
- Some weekend work may be required
- Standing: Up to 100 * percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
- Sitting: Up to 50 * percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task

Salary range: $28.71 to 38.55. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
