The Flightline Technician performs duties as an Flightline Technician on H-1 Series aircraft in the Czech Republic. Flightline Technicians will provide install, remove, inspect, test, maintain, and repair systems, components, and ancillary equipment of H-1 aircraft. Flightline Technician shall have experience in maintenance of the AH-1Z and UH-1Y, to include working knowledge of the characteristics, component functions, and theory of operations of all required systems, subsystems, components, and subcomponents.
Responsibilities
- Inspects, maintains, rigs, troubleshoots, and repairs H-1 engines, transmissions/gearboxes, fuels systems, rotor systems and related aircraft systems
- Performs schedule/unscheduled maintenance activities to include PMS, servicing and lubrication, and MOC/FCF support functions
- Uses and performs operator maintenance on tools, special tools/test equipment, and Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (AGSE) and Peculiar Ground Support Equipment (PGSE)
- Performs shift “All Tools Accounted For” (ATAF) inventories and attend all hands Foreign Object or Debris (FOD) walk downs to maintain standards that comply with FOD and Tool Control procedures
- Performs duties relating to flight line operations of aircraft to include launch, recovery and support of maintenance ground turns
- Requests and receives aircraft materials from supply system and ensure applicable technical directives have been complied with prior to installation/use on aircraft
- Prepares, reviews, and updates aircraft maintenance forms and records
- Uses common measuring tools, measuring gages, alignment fixtures, and special tools
- Ensures that all related maintenance operations are conducted in a safe manner
- Other tasks, duties, and responsibilities, as directed
- Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities within the parameters of Maintenance Control
Qualifications
- Four (4) years’ recent experience as an Flightline Technician on H-1 Series aircraft
- Successfully completed and be qualified by the appropriate U.S. Government Flightline Technician course
- Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms or similar aviation maintenance management system, and other aircraft related documentation
- Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner
- Possess a valid issued driver’s license
- Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hire
- Ten (10) years of directly related experience
