ASE/ GSE Mechanic Job Description:
We are an onsite vendor for the largest Aerospace providers in Charleston, SC. We provide 3rd party maintenance on a variety of machines
and ground support equipment onsite. They have immediate Direct Placement need for a 2nd shift and a 3rd shift GSE/ ASE Mechanic (2 openings).
Tasks description:
- Perform Equipment maintenance following Maintenance Schedule
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs as needed
- Wash equipment quarterly
- Document maintenance and repairs on Service Job Sheet
- Maintain continuous education
- Acquire necessary certifications – ASE T Series Medium-Heavy Truck Master Mechanic Certification
- Fill in Timesheets to track service hours
- Assist in researching parts necessary for the jobs
Expectations:
- Ability to read and understand the Equipment service/repair manuals
- Ability to read and understand electrical / hydraulic schematics
- Perform a clean job in a timely manner
- Follow tool control procedures (work on flightline)
- Maintain professional attitude in front of the customer
** Very particular about their culture. They are working onsite at their customer, so they want candidates with good attitudes that
communicate well. They will be the face of the company onsite.
** High School Diploma or equivalent
*** Candidates MUST live within 45 mins of job site due to on call requirements. This is a non-negotiable. ***
Performance is measured based on:
* Maintenance Schedule completion
* Quarterly bonus depending on parameters of Service Level Agrmt with Boeing.
* Boeing conducts audits (Tools, records, numbers etc.)
* Ability to work your way up to Supervisor.
* Opportunity to travel to other TLD sites.
Base Salary is $50-60K.
* Up to 12% quarterly bonus as well.
* Also get yearly Bonus based on SLA with Boeing - 6% of Base salary if the meet goal
* They do offer an "On-Call" bonus. Techs take turns being on-call for one week at a time.
* They are paid an extra $200 the week they are on-call. If they have to go into plant during off shift, they get paid a min of 4 hrs of
straight time pay. If job goes longer than 4 hrs then they get 1.5 for any hours over 4.

• Conveyor Belt Loaders/ Luggage Loaders
• Jet Starters
• Heaters
• AC Units
• Generators
• PLC – BIG plus (electrical troubleshooting – big plus)
• Diesel Equipment
• Mobile Power Plant Equipment – Electrical diagnosis and troubleshooting

Salary Range:
50,000-70,000
