The Work
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be involved in a variety of tasks including:
Performing routine repairs and maintenance on plant and office facilities and equipment.
Handling basic carpentry, electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning, plumbing, and flooring tasks.
Dismantling, moving, assembling, installing, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment based on layout plans, blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions.
Using hand and power tools for assembling and installing equipment like conveyors and tram rails, constructing foundations, and aligning machines.
Conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and reporting problems to supervisors.
Cleaning, inspecting, lubricating, and filtering equipment to keep it functioning optimally.
Supporting general maintenance, electrical, and plumbing needs across the facilities.

Who You Are
You are a skilled and versatile maintenance professional with experience in various repair and maintenance tasks. You possess a strong ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, and diagrams, and have hands-on experience with industrial machinery and facilities support. You are proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively under minimal supervision. Flexibility is key, as you will be on a rotating weekend coverage schedule and may need to work extended hours during site shutdowns and holidays.

Basic Qualifications:
2 years experience of general maintenance experience.
Has the knowledge to perform routine repairs and all maintenance of plant and/ office facilities equipment.
Has the Knowledge to perform dismantling, moving, assembling, installing, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions.
Dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools; move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
U.S Citizenship Required.
Desired Skills:
2 years of experience of general mechanic and maintenance work.
Experience with operating, maintaining and troubleshooting facilities equipment.
Experience with carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
The basic knowledge in reading blueprints.
Able to plan, prioritize and execute all work independently and as part of the Owego Maintenance Team.
The candidate should also have a basic understanding and experience with Condition Based Maintenance and Reliability Centered Maintenance Techniques, Tools and applications

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $43,100 - $82,600. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as spanet and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $49,600 - $89,900. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
