The Receiving Inspector is responsible for performing receiving inspections on aircraft parts and components in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration FAA) regulations and Deltas manuals and specifications.
Job duties will include, but are not be limited to:
Performing a receiving inspection of parts and materials purchased by Delta, with subsequent rejection or acceptance, based on Delta, manufacturer and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards.
Determining the acceptability of parts and materials by checking the part number, physical condition, and required documentation.
Completing required paperwork for routing acceptable parts to stock or "conditionally accepting" parts and routing them to the prime shop for receiving inspection.
Monitoring discrepancies found during routine receiving inspection of parts and materials for trends indicating quality problems with suppliers; in particular, unapproved or bogus parts.
Maintaining current knowledge of applicable procedures, methods and specifications directly related to the work assignment.
Completing documents in a legible, detailed and comprehensive manner.
Advising the relief Inspector of the status all work in progress and work completed.
Performing other duties as assigned by the Manager and Lead Inspector.

The minimum starting hourly rate for this position is 65.26 with a potential maximum hourly rate of $65.26. The ability to reach the maximum hourly rate is dependent upon several other offered premiums (Examples would include but not limited to - Airframe and Powerplant license, Shift differential, Station location differential, Line Maintenance differential, Skill differential).

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.
Must have the ability to work 24/7 shifts as required.
Must be able to work under pressure.
Computer skills are necessary.
Candidate must be able to pass all training requirements and have the ability to achieve and maintain a Receiving Inspection Qualification.
Must be physically able to perform inspection duties throughout Receiving Inspection.
Must have thorough general knowledge of Deltas maintenance/inspection program, knowledge of FAA/EASA regulations with a good working knowledge of Deltas SAP/MAS/SCEPTER systems.
Must be presently classified as an AMT or above.
Must have a minimum of six years aircraft maintenance and/or inspection experience.
Must possess an Airframe & Powerplant License.
Demonstrates that privacy is a priority when handling personal data.

Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
