As a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair and inspection of aircrafts to ensure they meet regulatory and safety standards. This role involves coordinating with maintenance teams, ensuring adherence to timelines, and managing the workflow of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks. The technician serves as the primary point of contact between the maintenance team and other departments, ensuring efficient communication and compliance with aviation regulations.
Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):
- Lead and manage the CDG maintenance operation by evaluating the inbound and existing workload, assigning AMTs to maximize manpower utilization
- Manage all Aircraft Out of Service (AOS) events, using all available resources to achieve Return to Service within established Minimum Repair Time (MRT). Ensure progress is tracked and updates are made in the AOS application
- Coordinate with the CDG Hub Control Center and keep them informed about ongoing maintenance activities that may affect scheduled departure times, passenger experience, or below-wing teams
- Report compliance issues, quality issues, safety hazards, near misses, injuries, or damages through the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Compile the Daily TechOps operational brief and communicate the status of all maintenance activities to TechOps stations and departments, ensuring efficiency and on-time completion
- Support and assist the maintenance team by performing and certifying maintenance as needed, in accordance with FAA and Delta TechOps procedures
- Maintain proper documentation of all maintenance actions, ensuring that completed tasks or work in progress are entered in the aircraft logbook
- Manage manpower assignments to ensure ongoing work progresses smoothly and is handed over with adequate turnover comments in the aircraft work log
- Ensure all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance at CDG is completed on time and in line with FAA and Delta TechOps standards
- Keep the CDG Hub Control Center and other business partners updated on any changes to the established ready time during AOS events
- Accurately code and enter all CDG aircraft delays into DBMS, ensuring they are properly reported to EMEA leadership
- Analyze station delays and create action plans to reduce delays and cancellations, enhancing overall reliability
- Monitor the safety of the work environment at CDG, ensuring adherence to AERO principles and the reporting of safety violations for corrective action
- Respond to all FOA damage reports, ensuring proper documentation and corrective measures
- Build strong relationships with domestic line maintenance leaders to drive continuous improvement and support outstation AOS and temporary duty assignments. Collaborate with other Lead AMTs and Duty Managers in the EMEA region to provide seamless support
- Coach, Mentor, and develop AMTs, addressing performance shortfalls and fostering teamwork
- Maintain knowledge of current procedures and methods related to aircraft maintenance and ensure CDG maintenance personnel adhere to local working regulations, acceptable appearance, and conduct standards

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
- Must be authorized to live / work in France / EU
- Must have an Airframe and Powerplant license
- Must have a valid EU drivers license
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including rotating or fixed shifts, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to act as the working leader of a group of AMTs, plan and lay out work, instruct and supervise the work of the group, as well as be a leader in the areas of continuous improvement and safety
- Must be able to comprehend and apply information contained in technical manuals.
- Must be able to work and operate in a safe and compliant manner without close supervision
- Must be able to respond to changing or multiple work demands
- Candidate should be able to work well under pressure, act in a timely manner, and handle multiple tasks with continually changing priorities
- Familiarity with various computer software programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, SAP and other relevant software programs is preferred
- Experience in running or being part of International and/or cross divisional projects.
