This is more than just a maintenance role; it's a leadership opportunity in a dynamic, developing environment. You'll be instrumental in establishing and maintaining our LaGrange operations, collaborating closely with the Branch Leader on-site and the Director of Maintenance at our Fort Myers headquarters. This position demands a highly organized, self-motivated individual who thrives in a startup environment, can work autonomously, follow directions meticulously, and proactively drive solutions.

We're seeking a leader, a self-starter, and someone eager to build something special in LaGrange. If you possess piston aircraft experience, a strong work ethic, and a desire to contribute to a positive culture, we want to hear from you. Character and values are paramount; we hire the person and invest in their technical development.

About Us:

  • Our headquarters in Fort Myers provides robust support and resources.
  • This LaGrange location is a new, growing site, offering a unique opportunity for career advancement.
  • We operate a fleet of ultra-modern (2022 and newer) Cessna, Cirrus, and Piper piston aircraft.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and perform routine and unscheduled inspections of piston engine airframes at the LaGrange location.
  • Execute repairs, modifications, and replacements of aircraft components and systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and manuals.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and logbook entries, complying with FAA regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with the LaGrange Branch Leader and the Fort Myers-based Director of Maintenance to ensure efficient operations and adherence to company standards.
  • Proactively establish and optimize maintenance procedures at the new LaGrange location, demonstrating strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and technologies.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior mechanics and support staff.

Qualifications:

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
  • Extensive experience with piston engine aircraft maintenance and repair.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively in a startup or new location environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across different locations and establish strong local relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug testing.

Position Information & Benefits:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Flexible shifts: Four-day (10-hour) or five-day (8-hour) workweek options.
  • Three-day weekends (four-day option).
  • Minimal overtime (less than 5%).
  • No "on-call" responsibilities.
  • 60-minute lunches.
  • Factory-new aircraft and primarily scheduled maintenance, creating a low-stress environment.
  • Excellent pay (75th percentile for general aviation, top 1% for schools).
  • $10,000 signing bonus.
  • Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, tool allowances).
  • Paid professional development and continuous learning.
  • 10 days starting PTO and paid holidays (9 days, including Super Bowl Monday).
