Job Description:
Internal Candidates Preferred.
Core Responsibilities:
- Read and understand engineering drawings to manufacture parts.
- Train other employees on the operation of CNC Lathes
- Act as a resource for other employees
- Determine the appropriate tooling, work holding, and machining process needed to produce a high-quality metal part.
- Set up and run CNC Lathe Machines, in a timely manner.
- Produce high quality products.
- Check all machined parts to the dimensions specified on the engineering drawing and conform to all operator certification requirements.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Work to verbal and written instructions.
- Support an environment of growth and enthusiasm.
- Weld as needed to support production.
- Willing to work Saturdays as needed to support production.
Skills:
- Experience TIG Welding
- 5 years experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of tooling and machining techniques.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good math skills.
- Use of measuring tools.
- Know and understand “Quality at the source”.
- Understand and practice safe working methods.
- Job Shop experience.
- SolidWorks/MasterCam experience.
- CNC Lathe experience.
- Be willing to work to ISO / QS 9001 standards and have a commitment to continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Willing to attend training courses for programming and other relevant skills.
