Job Role:
• Ability to inspect and sign off work
• Ability to receive parts, review manuals, and create repair plans for component repair.
• Weld, grind, solder, heat-treat and perform sand blasting of aircraft components and support equipment.
• Perform damage removal and inspections as needed.
• Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends;
recommending actions.
• Experience with Metallic Repairs and Alterations.
• Use handheld tools and operate machinery for cleaning, deburring, painting, sanding and grit blasting
parts.
• Set up and operate various types of manual and/or robotic spray systems to apply coatings to parts.
• Perform monthly equipment maintenance on large industrial machinery.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of mechanics, technicians, and engineers to identify and address complex
aircraft issues.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and safety procedures, taking part in
professional development activities and training programs to continuously improve processes.
• Foster a culture of safety by adhering to established safety protocols and promoting awareness among
team members.
• Evaluate and scope jobs as needed.
Essential Functions and Competencies:
• Must have the ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints, manuals, planning documents,
engineering drawings, and other technical directives.
• Must be proficient in the use of precision measuring tools.
• Must have the ability to work with a team and thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and dynamic
environment with a demonstrated record of achievement.
• Must have strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
• Must have a high level of professionalism and integrity, be highly organized, work well under pressure and
successfully balance multiple priorities.
• Must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Google Applications.
• Must have a proficient understanding of ATA chapters associated with aviation Engine Service Manuals,
APU manuals, and structural components.
• Must have a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and passion for aviation.
• Must have the ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed, with prior notice, until
additional shifts are filled.
• Must be willing to cross train in other complementary positions and seek endorsements for skills as
needed to support production requirements.
• Must read, write, and understand English.
Required Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of aviation technician experience-military or civilian required.
• 3+ years of welding experience.
• Experience with aircraft maintenance, structural repair, and troubleshooting, ideally working on a variety of
aircraft models required.
• In-process inspection experience required.
• Part 135 or Part 121 experience a plus.
• Part 145 compliance understanding a plus.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs for approximately 25 of the average workday.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to work in an aircraft hangar which at times may be hot, cold, dusty, or loud.
• Ability to work with malodorous liquids and oils.
