Position Summary
Install, maintain and repair electrical components of industrial equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Support and adhere to Parker’s Code of Ethics, policies, and procedures and observe housekeeping guidelines. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed:
Essential Functions:
- Install, and repair electrical equipment, parts and control panels and bend conduit, pull wire and design electrical systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all production machinery.
- Operate tools near electrical components.
- Ability to trouble shoot control systems required.
- Disassemble machines and perform necessary repairs using hand tools.
- Replace broken or defective parts.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical components of industrial equipment.
- Perform quality testing and inspections on electrical equipment.
Qualification Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - High School diploma or GED is required.
- Must have PLC knowledge.
- Perform routine upkeep and troubleshoot plc systems.
- Understand or decipher PLC ladder logic.
- Familiar with Allen Bradley and Direct Logic PLCs.
- Programming PLC preferred but not required.
- Ability to understand and make decisions based on technical documents, such as blueprints, schematics, or instructions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to take management direction.
- Ability to trouble shoot control systems required.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.
- Awareness of national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations.
- Willingness to preform physically demanding tasks, such as heavy lifting, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.
- Ability to determine load and load limits on electrical services.
- Excellent attendance.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations.
- Must be professional, technical and mechanically proficient.
