Job Description:

Purpose of Position
The Maintenance Cost & Warranty Auditor is tasked to audit, review, challenge and correct expenditures for aircraft maintenance work orders and parts transactions. This includes ensuring NetJets obtains maximum possible value from warranty and guaranteed maintenance program (GMP) work by researching information and formulating recommendations regarding the resolution of billing discrepancies. The Maintenance Cost & Warranty Auditor will provide feedback and guidance to Maintenance Control and Materials department related to reducing work order costs.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Audit maintenance work performed on NetJets aircraft to determine the appropriateness of charges billed and whether the value of warranty and GMP is realized. This includes, but is not limited to challenging vendor charges, negotiating appropriate settlements or adjustments, and filing claims as necessary.
  • Audit work orders, invoices and other documentation to identify potentially unnecessary or excessive spending and make recommendations for process and procurement modifications to realize cost savings.
  • Audit GMP documents to identify areas of the program that could be modified to realize additional savings.
  • Identify contractual terms not followed by NetJets and make recommendations to become compliant while identifying deficiencies or necessary modifications to existing agreements.
  • Develop expertise in all areas of maintenance plans and agreements to effectively resolve disputes with maintenance providers regarding inaccurate, unreasonable and/or unsubstantiated charges.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
  • Aircraft maintenance, aviation/technical records or warranty experience.
  • Practical experience in similar role of cost and/or invoice and warranty auditing.
  • Extensive working knowledge of aircraft maintenance and/or aviation inventory processes.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance plan and program documents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on assigned work as well as ad-hoc projects.
  • Basic understanding of business and financial processes.
  • Ability to use experience and knowledge to creatively improve processes and increase efficiencies.
  • Working knowledge of MS office applications with an emphasis on Power Point and Excel.
  • Practical hands-on use of A&P licenses.
  • Ability to understand, create and communicate financial reports and corporate financial information.
  • Familiar with NetJets maintenance tracking and work order systems.
  • Strong skills in the use of MS office applications with an emphasis on Power Point and Excel.
