Job Description:

HQ Aero is currently recruiting for MAINTENANCE MECHANICS in PINELLAS PARK, FL

Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be required to:

Perform routine repairs and maintenance of plant and/or office facilities and equipment.
Perform basic carpentry, electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning, plumbing, plastic or sheet metal fabrication, or associated work on plant facilities using hand and power tools.
Troubleshoot equipment or facilities problems and report them to supervisor.
Interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
Perform routine inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary.
Possess troubleshooting skills and knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC.
Perform other duties as assigned and assures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

Job Type:

Full-time, Contract
Shift Schedule: M, T, W, Th 10 Hours, Friday's off. Hours: 1st Shift: 6am to 4:30pm & 2nd Shift: 5:00pm to 3:30am.
Candidates who are submitted for this position must be prepared to interview in person.
Candidates must be willing to work 2nd shift but will start on 1st shift.

Essential Job Functions:

Works well in team-environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel).
Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, Position requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing.
Work Environment: FAR Part 135 aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment.

Job Requirements:

Mathematical ability to perform and/or understand the calculations used in assigned areas and ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical data.
Competently uses computers and other systems to access, maintain, manipulate data.
Interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all levels, to work in teams or independently and communicate effectively with co-workers or supervisory staff.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.
