Maintenance Technician: 48059

Job Description:

STS Technical Services is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Ridgeland, South Carolina, to support facility operations with a wide range of advanced maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical work. This role is crucial for maintaining equipment and ensuring safety standards. Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and advanced maintenance tasks to ensure equipment and facility operations.
Safely operate forklifts and other advanced tools.
Apply advanced carpentry, plumbing, and mechanical skills in daily tasks.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Conduct work at heights using lift platforms, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Mentor junior technicians and participate in continuous improvement.

Skills & Abilities:

Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic work.
Basic knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
Ability to operate advanced hand and power tools safely.
Blueprint reading skills and attention to detail in measurements.
Willingness to work in confined spaces and at elevated heights.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician.
Forklift certification or willingness to acquire it.
