Design Engineers will be responsible for taking part in a design process of various engine components as well as supporting design of component tests/rigs and their execution. We are looking for motivated open-minded people willing to learn exciting new to GE engineering fields who are eager to take challenges.
Activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards
Develop deeper knowledge of selected technical domain including understanding of Best Practices and apply them in component design and integrate with adjacent hardware
Collaborate to resolve issues using established procedures with the support of experienced engineers
Support efforts/projects to solve both technical and schedule related problems
Present work to subject matter experts and program leaders at technical reviews
Monitor and effectively communicate projects status and potential issues
Ensure work is thoroughly documented
Support specific functional and organizational initiatives
Required Qualifications
MSc/BSc in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or similar
Experience relevant to indicated position area of expertise
Ability to execute analyses/evaluation of assigned projects, with limited guidance
Strong communication skills, including English language (spoken and written)
Technical and problem-solving skills and ability to set priorities for assigned tasks
