Raytheon is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Hardware Lead for our Radio Frequency and Mechanical Analysis Department, to support the Next Generation Jammer – Mid Band Expansion (NGJ-MBX) program. The qualified candidate will have extensive engineering experience related to development, procurement, manufacture and test of advanced airborne electronic subassemblies, assemblies, and systems. The position will be based onsite in our McKinney, TX location.
What You Will Do:
Ownership of the overall mechanical design and design reviews.
Ownership of technical data packages (TDPs) and their maintenance.
Leadership of the program mechanical team.
Ownership of mechanical engineering (ME) scope and estimates for program proposals.
Support to NGJ portfolio integration and test activities.
Collaboration with NGJ leadership and other functions to meet mechanical engineering demands of the portfolio.
Ability to travel to our El Segundo, CA and Forest, MS sites as needed
Qualifications You Must Have:
BS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience.
Experience collaborating with multi-functional, cross-discipline teams on projects, working groups, and/or inter business units.
Experience with mechanical design principles and execution.
Experience with drawing creation, release, and revision.
Experience directing team members with tasking and oversight.
Ability to travel to government or other facilities in support of program activities, typically less than 15.
Ability to work on-site at a Raytheon facility.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Value:
Familiarity with active electronically scanned antenna (AESA) design, test, and integration.
Next Generation Jammer Mid-Band prior program experience.
Experience working with internal and/or external suppliers.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Experience interfacing with senior leadership to provide strategy, status, and reporting on program efforts.
Proficiency with CREO Parametric solid modeling software.
Experience as a technical leader and/or leader of engineering teams.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
