Raytheon Australia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced B1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) to join our Joint Adversarial Training & Testing Services (JATTS) Program located in the beautiful Shoalhaven region near Nowra NSW. JATTS provides operational training against live aerial opposing forces (red air), airborne Electronic Warfare and aerial targets.
Raytheon Australia has been providing airborne adversarial Electronic Warfare (EW) training for Australian Defence Force warfare and command teams since 2001. We deliver this capability using highly modified special mission Learjet 35A aircraft configured to simulate real-world airborne EW threats in differing electromagnetic environments across all combat domains.
Our team is diversely skilled and responsible for providing real world airborne simulation involving sophisticated EW system training, test, experimentation and evaluation trials, systems certification, radar jamming and deception, communications denial and deception and radar threat simulation to the Royal Australian Air Force, Royal Australian Navy and other Australian Defence assets. Duties and Responsibilities
- Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident/injury free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position
- Perform the duties of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer as part of a CASA CAR30 Maintenance Organisation delivering services within the CASA Aerial Work Category.
- Ensure all aircraft maintenance, documentation and certification is carried out and completed in line with the Raytheon Australia System of Maintenance and Engineering Procedures Manuals.
- Perform, implement and maintain any required shift / task handovers
- Supervise maintenance personnel and support apprentices when required
- Responsible for the general condition, upkeep of the hangar and workshop
- Point of contact for work related phone calls whilst on duty
- Deploy with Aircraft to provide maintenance and logistics support both nationally and Internationally
- Perform any other duties as directed by Raytheon Chief Maintenance Engineer
Reporting Relationship
- The position reports directly to the Raytheon Australia Chief Maintenance Engineer
Qualification Requirements
Essential:
- Experienced LAME B1
- If not type rated, available to complete the Learjet 35/36 type course. Type course provided by Raytheon if required.
Desirable:
- Hold a current Part 66 B1 license Learjet 35/36 type rating
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Forklift license
Successful candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 2 Security Clearance from the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA)
