We have an exciting onsite opportunity for an Assistant Controller for our Military Engines Fighter & Mobility (F&M) Finance Team supporting the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) business located onsite in West Palm Beach, Florida or onsite at the East Hartford, Connecticut location.
What You Will Do:
The ideal candidate is an energetic, intuitive, self-starter interested in supporting and improving the accounting, reporting, and forecasting processes for the APU business.
Key responsibilities of this role are:
Analyze APU business unit monthly financial results for completeness and accuracy for the entire organization.
Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly financial reports for APU Leadership team.
Assist with managing the program finance team and focus on training and mentoring staff.
Report and manage Inventory and Accounts Receivables on a monthly basis to achieve targets.
Review and analyze balance sheet items to prepare journal entries.
Perform intercompany reconciliations and analyze annual pricing.
Collaborate with cross functional business groups by providing support in areas such as new business campaigns, product offerings, and customer solutions.
Drive process improvements leading to leaner and more efficient financial reporting.
Support internal and external audits and ensure controls are adequately functioning.
Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as required.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance and 10+ years prior relevant work experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum of 8+ years prior relevant work experience.
US Citizenship required due to government contracts.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Possess a strong working knowledge of SAP, Business Warehouse (BW), and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
Should be results focused and able to balance competing and changing priorities.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Exceptional analytical skills including variance analysis, attention to detail (intellectual inquisitiveness).
Manufacturing experience.
Experience working in an actual cost environment.

This role is:
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
* This requisition is eligible for an employee referral award. ALL eligibility requirements must be met to receive the referral award.
The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
