Job Description SummaryThis position involves working with the Site Responsible Level III and Quality Department in support of business goals, manufacturing processes and daily production targets. A successful candidate will work towards gaining technical knowledge and experience to obtain Level III FPI and X-ray certifications.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist in equipment set up, standardization, troubleshooting and repair as appropriate
- Be capable of providing the necessary guidance to level 2 inspectors and trainees
- Conduct level 2 candidate training
- Process parts, conduct tests, interpret findings, evaluate and document results in accordance with approved procedures
- Perform NDT for the acceptance of parts as appropriate
- Conduct hardware Preliminary Review dispositions as appropriate
- Conduct NDE audits to ensure site certification maintenance program
- Demonstrate the ability to apply geometric, trigonometric and algebraic relationships
- Support Quality System investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Complete established training objectives to become qualified for level III certifications
- Pass Basic, General Theory, Specific and Practical NDE examinations
- Complete established training objectives and obtain Quality System QEP Level I certification
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing
- Current Level II certification in digital radiography and fluorescent penetrant meeting NAS 410 requirements
Desired qualifications:
- 4 years of experience performing fluorescent penetrant, digital radiographic and computed tomography inspection in aerospace industry
- Previous experience with Rhythm Review, Avizo Inline or Volume Graphics software
- Strong Communication, Interpersonal Skills and demonstrated Organizational / Leadership Skills
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams in a matrix environment with all levels of personnel
