ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |

The Heavy Maintenance Representative is responsible to the Director of Heavy Maintenance and Planning while assigned to Heavy Maintenance. During time of no Heavy Maintenance assignment the Heavy Maintenance Representative is then responsible to the Manager of Line Maintenance. |
- Represent the company in a professional manner and shall always be aware of the interests of the company
- Monitor man hours for non-routine tasks, approve estimates, and oversee all maintenance in the interest of the company.
- Assure all aircraft paperwork associated with the work in progress is properly executed to ensure aircraft departs heavy maintenance on time.
- Advise Maintenance facility of shortages or possible delays in part(s) procurement.
- Coordinate with Director of Heavy Maintenance and Planning, Maintenance Control, or Materials department of procurement of all components necessary for timely completion of heavy maintenance.
- Provide management with daily updates of aircraft status and follow-up required
- Assure all tasks issued in work scope are complete and accounted for and any deviations are requested in a timely manner as to not hold up progress.
- Complete MM-120 Checklist in the completion of any OAI Maintenance Provider Heavy Check
- Weigh aircraft as required by work packages.
- Coordinate between Omni Management, TSE Department, Materials, and Omni Maintenance Providers to ensure timely completion of all tasks involved in the work scope
- Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Heavy Maintenance.
- Be thoroughly familiar with the provisions of the company General Maintenance Manual with revisions issued by Quality Control Department
- Must hold a valid A & P Certificate.
- Test negative on an FAA mandated pre-employment drug test, and on subsequent tests under the Omni drug and alcohol testing policy applicable to employees occupying safety sensitive positions
- Must pass a 10-year Background check including a FAA required fingerprint-based criminal history records check
- Must be willing to work a 12 hour shift schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid state issued drivers license with clear MVR with no major moving violations within the past 3 years
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport while allows unrestricted travel to all countries where OAI may fly
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must have mechanic certificate
- Experience working and repairing large airplanes
- Must have prior experience of returning airplanes to service
- Boeing 767/777 experience preferred
- Avionics experience preferred
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
- Climb stairs and ladders.
- Capable of using small tools (hammer, crowbar, and screwdriver).
- Capable of using ground equipment (Forklift, Pickup Truck) and tow trailer behind pickup truck.
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer.
