Job Description:

The Operator/Assembler, under close supervision, does electronic, electromechanical or mechanical assembly by performing the following duties: Disassembly, cleaning, troubleshooting, overhaul, repair and assembly of aircraft components, assemblies and accessories to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.

-tWorks from blueprints, production/assembly instructions, parts lists, diagrams and verbal instructions to assemble, wire and install subassembly and assembly units.
-tAccurately interpret component maintenance manuals, service bulletins, writing diagrams, system schematics, drawings, engineering orders, and other documents from both the customer and company.
-tUtilizes small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers.
-tWorks with balancing and grinding machines to assemble modular engines
-tWorks with cleaning materials to disassemble modules for inspection purposes.
-tMeasures parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges and scales.
-tInspects, tests, and adjusts completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
-tRequisition parts and material necessary to complete jobs using ERP system. Receive and inspect incoming material to ensure the order is accurate.

Job Requirements:

Level 1
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience: 1-3 years.
Computer Skills: Familiar with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Other Skills:
•\tExperience in assembly operations, preferably in an FAA 145 Repair Station or experience performing tear down, troubleshooting and overhaul & repair duties.
•\tMechanical skills and a basic understanding of electronics preferred.
•\tAerospace experience preferred.
•\tExperience in reading electrical test instruments.
•\tThe ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
•\tMust have good verbal and written communication skills including basic conversational and written English; reading comprehension (understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents).
•\tExperience working with computers and the Internet.

Preferred Skills (not required):
•\t2-year technical degree
•\tExperience working in a manufacturing environment

Level 2
Education: High School diploma
Experience: 3 - 5 years.
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Other Skills:
•\tExperience in assembly operations, preferably in an FAA 145 Repair Station or experience performing tear down, troubleshooting and overhaul & repair duties.
•\tMechanical skills and a basic understanding of electronics preferred.

•\tExcellent electro-mechanical assembly and troubleshooting skills.
•\tRead and understand technical publications and drawings and schematics.
•\tStrong attention to details and work in a fast-faced department and be able to handle stress diplomatically.
•\tAbility to communicate clearly in English language.
•\tExcellent oral and written communications skills
•\tCompetency to train other assembler in production as per written process
•\tDemonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and assignments with attention to detail
•\tCrimping and Soldering Skills
