Raytheon is seeking an Optical Assembly & Potting Tech V, in support of the Global ISR Sensors and Software business. Tests and inspects optical components and systems using a variety of electro-optical, metrology, and inspection tools and software. This person will liaise with other departments where appropriate to ensure the Optical Assembly meets the required demands. This position will be located ONSITE at our Westford, MA facility.
What You Will Do
Interprets blueprints, work orders, and engineering plans for material and dimensional requirements.
Pulls kits from holding racks in production order.
Performs optical potting operations, including coating, assembly, alignment, grinding, cleaning, and applying adhesives.
Uses machine and hand tools for operations.
Sets up and monitors chambers.
Conducts quality inspections, including pressure and pull testing.
Uses interferometers, micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Reworks and repairs mechanical, electro-optical, and electro-mechanical systems and components.
May assist with designing opto-mechanical parts and prototypes.
May be trained/certified in multiple skills and train new technicians.
Qualifications You Must Have
High School Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Due to programs and projects this position supports, U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
SAP experience
Experience working with Electro-Optical assemblies used in surveillance and reconnaissance systems
Team oriented – must be an active participant and willing to step in for other commodities as needed.

Qualifications We Prefer
6 years optics/mechanical/electro-optical experience.
Clean room experience.
Good dexterity skills required due to delicate handling of precision optical components.
Follow oral and written instructions and have overall good communication skills.
Familiar with Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.
Must be able to work independently within a team environment
Shift flexibility is critical
