Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
- Apply knowledge of quality policies, governmental regulations, and engineering principles to develop, document, and maintain quality systems, operating procedures, and long-range customer inspection plans.
- Develop and administer directives, policies, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements, thereby assuring quality system compliance.
- Plan and coordinate improvements in manufacturing, including hardware and tool acceptance, variability reduction, developing key suppliers, and assembly operations.
- Perform design reviews to ensure quality is engineered into products and tools, while also analyzing requirements of contracts, drawings, and specifications to develop plans for applying quality disciplines to processes.
- Conduct configuration audits and reviews of products, tools, and processes, and compile, measure, and analyze process capability data to perform trend analyses and risk assessments.
- Utilize process improvement methodologies, such as root cause analysis, to plan and coordinate process improvements and ensure sequenced inspection control points, creating and maintaining inspection accountability systems.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement preventative measures, corrective actions, procedural changes, and process improvements, and present resultant findings.
- Provide education and coaching on the Quality Management System and Manufacturing Verification Process.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in defect identification, non-conformance data analysis, and thorough documentation skills.
- Knowledge of Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies, including 8D and/or 5Why.
- Experience in blueprint reading and utilizing precision measuring tools for inspection.
- Functional experience in First Article Inspection (FAI) utilizing Net-Inspect.
- Familiarity with various inspection methodologies, including tools, machines, and Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM).
- Training in Project Management and Six Sigma methodologies, along with certification or training in AS9100 and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
- Experience with SAP/MES systems and proficiency in Smartsheets and Tableau software platforms.
