Aerotek aviation is looking for an Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician with 10 years of experience for a contract to hire position in Lake Charles, LA. Job Description
You will troubleshoot, repair and service E-6(707) aircraft and engine and airframe systems. Conducts diagnosis of malfunctions. Performs maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications and engineering instructions.
Performs a variety of operations to assemble and make major assembly structures such as fuselage panels and bulkheads, and structural subassemblies such as rudders, flaps, and stabilizers. Aligns parts on jigs using templates and fixtures. Performs such minor part-fitting operations as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming. Measures parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions. May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

• Experience on E-6 aircraft in the structural repair, fabrication, modification and installation of sheet metal parts, items, and assemblies.
• Previous E-6 engine turn qualification
• Familiarity with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) or equivalent

This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Shift:
- Flexibility between day or night shift, and open to working any day of the week on a set schedule that is traditionally Mon-Thurs or Thurs-Sun
Pay:- $59.11/hour
- Per Diem available for those eligible
