JOB TITLE: Sheetmetal Assembly Mechanic
LOCATION: Kinston, NC
PAY RATE: $34/hour

Job Details:
Contract Length: 12 months (opportunity for extension)

Compensation: Pay and standard per diem of $110/week for qualified candidates.
Shift: Primarily 2nd shift (3 PM 11:30 PM), but flexibility to work any shift is required.
Overtime: Must be available for overtime and weekend work as needed.
Physical Requirements: Must stand and work for the full 8-hour shift.
Summary:
The company will provide training to ensure employees can perform the following tasks:
Assemble and install parts using blueprints, specifications, and work orders to meet quality standards.
Complete data transactions to support assembly progression.
Perform manual and automated assembly operations, including portable machine tasks.
Conduct rework, fabrication, testing, or checks during and after assembly processes.
Retrieve and move parts, materials, tools, and assemblies as needed.
Use precision measuring instruments for assignments.
Report or address issues such as part errors or tool malfunctions.
Perform basic machine maintenance, including filter changes, lubrication, and light bulb replacement.
Move products within the manufacturing area and document necessary transactions.
Support workflow by training and assisting team members.
Document discrepancies per specifications and procedures.
Cross-train in inspection and obtain SIA qualification.
Employees may be assigned additional tasks by leadership, with training provided as needed.
Required Skills:
Aerospace experience required
MUST PASS A PLATE TEST ON DAY 1
