Summary:
Visually inspect solder and conformal coating of circuit card assemblies in accordance with IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 requirements.
Follow predetermined methods, inspection operations, and prescribed specifications using instructions, drawings, checklists, and various measuring devices (dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, etc.).
Ensure compliance with manufacturing and industry specifications, including IPC standards and related reference documents.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years of experience inspecting solder connections on surface mount and plated thru-hole components, and conformal coating of PWBs per IPC-A-610 & IPC-J-STD-001.
Detail-oriented and quality-focused, with strong ability to interpret drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, revision control documents, and work instructions.
Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with personal computers and standard software applications.
Able to interface effectively and diplomatically with all levels of manufacturing to address quality defects.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Strong documentation skills.
Proficiency in IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 standards.
Experience using measuring tools for inspection.
Strong visual inspection capabilities.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
