Role Summary/Purpose:
As an Inspector in an aerospace environment, you will be responsible for the fault finding and work scope reporting customer returned units. You will also be involved with strip, re-build, and test of these units. As an inspector you will interact with various areas of the business and support/guidance where necessary. The role will also include using and implementing lean principles to help streamline the process where possible. While the core responsibilities will be inspection and report, this will also extend to light repairs as part of the Minor repair line with the department.
Essential Responsibilities:
Laying out components in a methodical manor and inspecting to specification and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM).
Raising all the relevant paperwork to complete the task.
Ensuring traceability is maintained throughout the process.
Strip down and repair of the propeller components.
Supporting engineering/quality investigations and project work as and when required.
Additional responsibilities:
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
The candidate will need to have the ability and experience of working on mechanical and hydraulic components.
They will need to demonstrate that they are able to utilise detailed manuals, drawings & other documentation to aid this requirement.
Minimum of HNC Mechanical engineering or time served apprentice or similar level of the knowledge and experience.
Must be PC literate and have excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
Attention to detail is essential.
