LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Structures Mechanics with aircraft repair experience for an opportunity in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:
Services, repairs, and overhauls airframe, engine, propeller, components, appliances, structural components and composite repairs to ensure airworthiness by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshoots, repairs, replaces, and rebuilds structures components and appliances, such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units.
  • Reads and interprets OEM and DoD Technical Manuals, service bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, local directives and other specifications to determine maintenance method and procedures.
  • Performs structural (metallic and composite) inspections for damages such as cracking, corrosion, delamination, or other damage as specified in the OEM inspection criteria.
  • Perform structural repairs (metallic and composite) as required utilizing
  • OEM SRM, Engineering Drawings with DER approval or other approved repair data.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including change and/or inspect fuel, and oil filters, cleaning screens, aircraft lubrication, wheel and tire maintenance such as tire changes, clean and inspect wheels and bearings and servicing on-board sanitation facilities.
  • Mix paint and apply for touch-up of aircraft and components.
  • Complete required repair documentation in accordance with KACC requirements, Customer GMM if applicable, customer CAMP documents, or customer supplied Flight Docs documents


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMMUNICATION ABILITY:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers. 

MATH ABILITY:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Word processing, Spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail, Database software, Inventory software, Order Processing software.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
FAA A&P preferred but not required. 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Structures Mechanic 
Travel optional for contractors
