Aerotek is seeking qualified Structures Mechanics - backshop work. Pay range $35-50/hour DOE per diem included. Boeing badge NOT required. Monday through Friday 5 X 10 hour . Hiring ASAP.
- We are seeking qualified Structures Mechanics for repair and overhaul of aircraft assemblies, including cowlings, inlets, leading edges, ailerons, and other components.
- This opportunity involves working on a 737 Engine Cowling Upgrade/Repair program in our component division. Primary tasks include working on doors and horizontal stab skin panels, removing and replacing skin panels with solid rivets and hilocks, and reworking dents.
- Structural pieces and assemblies are delivered to the shop to be overhauled. Technicians will drill out and replace hi-loks and other blind fasteners, perform T-chord and acoustic panel repairs, trim away metal material, use die grinders and DA sanders, sometimes working in sanding room with respirator. No painting.
- Will use drills, bucking bars, rivet guns, socket wrenches, hi-lok pliers, and other tools to overhaul these cowlings and maintain the in-out production of overhauled units. All remove and replace of fasteners and parts, no fabrication, with high precision particularly when drilling out fasteners to prevent overlarge holes.
- First week will be orientation, safety training, etc; then commencing regular schedule in the component repair shop. This is repair and overhaul work, but also a production environment in the sense that these cowlings need to come and go and maintain the schedule and urgency.

- 4+ years of precision metal drilling and bending/forming
- Must have minimum hand tools (socket set, hi-lok pliers, socket set, bucking bars)
