Job Description:
This is an overseas opportunity based in Japan.
- Performing O-Level Corrosion control on 5th generation Fighter Jets (F-22, F-35, and F/A 18 Superhornet)
- Performs Outer Mold Line (OML) inspections, coating system repair, and corrosion control inspections.
- Coordinates maintenance efforts with the Maintenance Operation Center (MOC) to ensure the timely return of aircraft to mission-capable status.
- Plans and coordinates shop workload and dispatches personnel as required.
- Ensure that assigned personnel have access to and use adequate technical data during all phases of aircraft maintenance.
- Ensures personnel are trained and practice good housekeeping, tool control, supply disciplines, FOD awareness/prevention, proper disposal of materials, and safety at all.
- Monitors the status of aircraft and coordinates efforts with subordinate personnel, and MOC.
- Monitors QC reports and ensures that corrective measures are implemented to improve maintenance quality and prevent the development of adverse trends.
- Conducts inspections of aircraft and system maintenance to ensure quality and completeness.
- Annotates maintenance actions in aircraft records and is proficient in ALIS documentation.
- Reviews training products for accuracy and schedules personnel for required training.
- Assists assigned personnel in researching and requisitioning aircraft parts and components and in determining reparability and serviceability.
- Review aircraft and equipment records and work cards to ensure required maintenance has been performed, hourly and calendar tracked events are current, and all associated documentation has been completed.
- Plans and coordinates wash, PMB, and paint schedules.
- Establishes a sound corrosion program. Inspects completed work and evaluates employee performance.
- Received cross-utilization training (CUT)
Job Requirements:
- MUST have current secret clearance
- Need to produce DD-214, and if possible training records / VMAT
- Must have 1+ years experience on fifth-generation fighter Jet (F-22/F-35)
- FA 18 Superhornets from the Navy can possibly work. F-16 from the Air Force is a distant 4th choice but could work if recent.
- Must have structural and corrosion control experience Level 1 = 2-3 years experience Level 2 = 3-5 years experience
- CDI preferred Level 3 = 5+ years + CDI & CDQAR (Collateral Duty Inspector) - Crew Chief - need supervisor experience
