As a full-time employee of Contour Airlines:

  • You are eligible for health, vision, and dental coverage as well as short-term/long-term disability and voluntary life insurance policies. If selected, these are effective on the first day of the month following your date of hire. Our current benefit enrollment guide will be provided during the onboarding process if you are selected for employment.
  • You are eligible to participate in our 401(k) savings plan, which would also be effective the first day of the month following your date of hire. The Company match is up to 6. Your eligibility to participate in this benefit will be in accordance with the normal practices and guidelines of the Company. Our current 401K enrollment guide will be provided during the onboarding process if you are selected for employment.
  • You are eligible to receive paid sick leave. You can accrue up to 56 hours per year which will roll over each year until your sick bank reaches 480 hours.
  • You are eligible to receive vested vacation hours. These hours are available to you on January 1st following your date of hire.
  • You are eligible for non-revenue/space available (NRSA) travel privileges after completing six active months of service.
  • You are eligible for a variety of leaves of absence including medical leave, non-medical leave for the care of a family member, maternity leave, paternity leave, personal leave, etc. Specific information regarding Contour Airlines’ leave of absence policy is outlined in our Employee Handbook which will be provided to you during the onboarding process should you be selected for employment.

 

Additional information:

  • The starting annual salary for this position is between $80,000.00 and $108,000.00 depending on your prior work experience. Each year and based on your job performance, you are eligible to receive an increase of 2.50 or more.
  • You are eligible to receive a signing bonus of $5,000.00
  • When you work on a Contour Airlines observed holiday, you are eligible to receive holiday pay which is paid at 2 times your hourly rate. Specific information regarding Contour Airlines’ observed holiday policy is outlined in our Employee Handbook which will be provided to you during the onboarding process should you be selected for employment.

Summary of Essential Duties:

  • Monitor all MEL and deferred maintenance items, coordinating the timely compliance with the Maintenance Planning Department.
  • Monitor staffing levels and make recommendations on needed changes.
  • Effective scheduling and coordination of internal support services (avionics, sheet metal, NDT, etc.) as required.
  • Be responsible for training/retraining of maintenance controllers.
  • Coordinate material and tooling requirements.
  • Monitor safe work practices, environmental compliance, and proper housekeeping.
  • Forecast and coordinate the scheduling of short-term maintenance requirements on Company operated or managed aircraft.
  • Monitors maintenance performance of all scheduled aircraft operations.
  • Reports essential information as to the status of operating aircraft.
  • Coordinates with Dispatch concerning all maintenance irregularities that affect the dispatching of aircraft.
  • Responsible for the proper administration of MEL/CDL/NEF procedures as established in the Contour General Maintenance Manual (GMM).
  • Coordinates with line maintenance, contract maintenance or on-call maintenance as
  • necessary to ensure mechanical irregularities are corrected in accordance with the procedures established in the Corporate Flight Management General Maintenance Manual (GMM).
  • Ensures data in the pilot reports, ferry flights, SDR, delays and cancellations, etc., is recorded accurately into the applicable maintenance system (FOS, Veryon, etc.).
  • Confirms all work performed on Company aircraft is accomplished by qualified, authorized, and approved personnel.
  • Ensures On-the-Job Training (OJT) is conducted and documented for Maintenance Controllers.
  • Performs additional tasks as specified in the CASS/Reliability section of the Corporate Flight Management General Maintenance Manual (GMM).
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Job Requirements:
  • Airframe and Powerplant license required.
  • Has one year of experience in a position responsible for returning aircraft to service.
  • Has at least one year of experience in a supervisory capacity in maintaining the same category and class of aircraft as used by the Company.
  • Extensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations related to maintenance and procedures.
  • Proficient with computer applications including Microsoft office suite.
  • Detailed knowledge of aircraft, manuals, maintenance programs, procedures.
  • Detailed working knowledge of Quantum, FOS, and CAMP software is a strong plus.
  • Has three years of experience in maintaining the same category and class of aircraft as used by the Company OR three years of experience as a Maintenance Controller for another 135 OR 121 Air Carrier OR three years of mechanic experience within the Company maintaining at least one aircraft type operated within the Company. 
  • Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal background and fingerprint checks.
  • Must pass a DOT required pre-employment drug screen and willing to submit to and pass FAA and Company mandated random drug and alcohol tests.
  • Authorized by law to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Possess strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must have well-developed people skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities.
  • Able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Able to handle interruptions and a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Be self-motivated and able to motivate others.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
