Located in Wilder, KY, Andrews Laser Works manufactures metal brackets primarily for the aerospace industry. Utilizing laser cutting, machining, forming, stamping, welding, & assembly processes; the company transforms sheet metal into complex, tight-tolerance brackets for aircraft engines. With an ever-changing aerospace industry in which customers continually ask suppliers to integrate and innovate, Andrews Laser Works is responding to the challenge. Andrews Laser Works was acquired by Precision Castparts Corp. in November of 2015.

Level One welders work under direct supervision to weld small assemblies in a limited number of weld types and positions, performing mostly corner welds. Level one welders are certified to 3G as well as to internal certifications. Level one welders perform basic welding operations using TIG (GTAW) mostly on stainless steel.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Basic TIG welding operations; i.e. corner welds

Required Skills:

  • Basic print reading
  • Basic shop math

Required Experience:

  • 0-1 year of experience

Level of Education:

  • GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.
