Role title
AJB Partnerships & Performance Manager
Your role
Coordinate bi-lateral/multi-lateral airline partnership projects to deliver Aer Lingus’s partnership strategy. Support the Head of Joint Ventures & Franchises in managing Aer Lingus integration into the Atlantic Joint Business (AJB) and enhancing the depth of this partnership. The AJB is a joint venture between Aer Lingus, American Airlines, British Airways, Iberia and Finnair collaborating on all sales and journeys between Europe & North America. Provide project management expertise to drive project delivery. Monitor AJB performance through flown reporting & data analysis. Identify value driving initiatives in existing & future partnership opportunities. Organise, collate & report on AJB partnership performance, transformation initiatives. Prepare financial forecasts & manage business planning cycle reporting for AJB partners.
Participation in the AJB has increased the importance of partners to the Aer Lingus business model. Structured, rigorous, and effective project management of the AJB implementation and other airline partner projects is required, ensuring Aer Lingus meets its contractual obligations and achieves its business objectives.
Principal Accountabilities
- Perform financial analysis for exploring strategic options, competitive analysis & risk assessment
- Support development of Aer Lingus partnership strategy, identifying and defining objectives, providing expert project management support to delivery of complex programmes
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers across Aer Lingus and in partner airlines
- To successfully lead and deliver airline partner projects and initiatives, ensuring strong project control, and solutions are designed to meet customer needs to achieve Aer Lingus’s business objectives
- Collaborate with airline partners to define, prioritize, and develop bilateral and multilateral projects
- Accountable for projects including planning & setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, assigning action items to stakeholders addressing risks and issues, & monitoring project progress
- Development of analytical/financial evaluations and business cases for Aer Lingus Executive team for Capex/opex requirements for AJB integration and other partner initiatives as needed
- Structure and report on key AJB KPIs/metrics and associated benefits for transformation reporting
- Prepare Business Plans, Financial Plans and in year Reforecasts to regularly report on projected, booked, and flown Partner sectors and revenue.
- Effective stakeholder engagement throughout definition, development and implementation process, working with Tech, Digital & Mobile, Finance, AerClub, Sales, Ops, Customer & Distribution teams
- Monitor, control & report progress to ensure that projects remain on cost, quality, and time
- Develop and produce AJB project reporting including reports suitable for Executive review and presenting to external AJB forums up to Executive level.
Your qualifications and key criteria
Essential
- Degree in mathematics, information systems, data analytics, engineering/science, business administration or related field
- Relevant 5 years work experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications, in particular Excel, Tableau, Word,, and PowerPoint and programming/modelling tools
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Eligible to live and work in the EU, holding a current unrestricted worldwide passport.
- Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5-year background check* or be in possession of a current Dublin airside pass
Desirable
- Professional Project Management qualifications (e.g., PMI/Prince 2)
- Formal negotiation training or experience of contract negotiation and management
- Experience in maintaining and managing Tableau driven dashboards & analytics
- Working knowledge of Tableau administration
