Supervisor: Kalitta and DHL Joint Venture Board of Directors

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Accountable Manager is responsible for and has the authority over all Repair Station operations conducted under 14 CFR, Part 145. The Accountable Manager duties include ensuring that Repair Station personnel follow the regulations and serving as the primary contact with the FAA.

The Accountable Manager is directly responsible to the DHL Technical Services Board of Directors.

The Accountable Manager will serve as and provide the following:

  • Is the primary oversight for the certificated Repair Station.
  • Has the authority over all repair station operations that are conducted under 14 CFR Part 145.
  • Is responsible for ensuring that repair station personnel adhere to regulations.
  • Is responsible for the content of the Repair Station Manual.
  • Will serve as the primary point of contact with the FAA for all regulatory matters.
  • Provide a customer interface point of contact for customer concerns and develop a liaison with the customer representative to prevent any misunderstandings of the work scope or required maintenance.
  • Ensure that approved/accepted data is used in the maintenance, repair, and modification of fleet engines and appliances.
  • Monitors maintenance performance against Company policies, procedures, and standards, and provides recommendations to improve safety of operations and productivity of the entire operation.
  • Review contracts and budgetary items within the areas of Maintenance, Materials and Ground Support.
  • Provide evidence of commitment to the development and implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS), and continually improve its effectiveness by communicating to the organization, the importance of meeting customer as well as statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversees the Corrective Action Program and determines the appropriate actions to be taken when deficiencies are discovered or reported.
  • Ensuring that quality objectives are established and always followed.
  • Conducting employee performance reviews.
  • Ensure that customer requirements are determined and are met with the aim of enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Includes the commitment to comply with requirements, and continually improves the effectiveness of the Quality Program.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role within an FAA 145 Repair Station.
  • 5 years of experience on turbine powered aircraft with maximum gross takeoff weight (MGTOW) of 12,500 lbs.
  • Knowledge & Skills: In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations, FAR Part 145, and other aviation-related requirements (e.g., FAR Part 43, Part 45), and possessing a strong technical understanding of aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, and inspection techniques.
  • Experience in dealing with FAA, EASA, CAA, CAAS, ICAO audits and certification processes.
  • Proficient in using maintenance tracking and documentation systems.
  • SMS - Safety Management Systems

Certifications:

  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification under 14 CFR Part 65.

Skills & Expertise:

  • Proficient in English (written and verbal) with strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse technical team.
  • Familiarity with various types of maintenance equipment and best practices.
  • Enrolled in the Repair Stations Drug and Alcohol program, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
