Airbus UpNext is looking for the IVV Manager to explore 5G Non-Terrestrial-Network capabilities based on space platforms .


Our objective is to explore many new technologies and to support the strategic ambitions of Airbus. As such, be prepared for a wild ride, digging into unconventional ways of working, and be ready for many pivots throughout, as we will explore the unknown.


As the IVV Manager you are defining the validation strategy, steps to support the deployment and operation of the demonstrator.


This position is based in Toulouse, and we will collaborate with teams across Europe and an international partnership landscape. 


This job comes with a fixed mission for 3 years (CDI-C).


Missions

Passionate and impatient about testing hypotheses and bringing learning into the business based on concrete demonstrations, you are the type of person who thinks about “how things can be done” rather than “if they can be done”.

By being a IVV Manager, you will:

  • Prepare the validation strategy during the early phase of the project, defining the resources, and functions needed for each step 

  • Drive the validation activities

  • Interface with major components providers involved in the demonstration in order to synchronize deliveries (test bed, operational system)

  • Validate the design in line with quality, approval and safety needs

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders

  • Coordinate tests execution to be performed on-ground or in-orbit

  • Passion about technology, science

  • Relevant experience in validation and deployment of complex engineering projects

  • Expertise in benefits and dependency mapping, risk management, quality control, resources, planning

  • Experience in 5G communication systems

  • Able to motivate, influence, inspire and empower team members to a high level of performance to meet immediate team objectives and deliver towards overall team goals

  • Demonstrated ability to set and meet goals, assess resource needs, develop schedules, monitor and communicate status, and experiment new ways of working.

  • Autonomy, Adaptability, Availability, Accountability.

  • Enjoy working in an international, diverse and geographically located team.

  • Share the values of transparency, courage, humility, empathy.

  • English at negotiation level is mandatory.
