OnsiteAs a Value Stream Leader (VSL) in Collins Aerospace’s Aircraft Sensing organization, you will be at the forefront of driving operational excellence across commercial manufacturing programs and their associated afterspanet services. You’ll lead a dynamic team responsible for managing product life cycles, from strategic business planning to order fulfillment, production, and customer support. What YOU Will Do:
- Active management of the product life cycle
- Leads medium to large size programs to ensure adherence to program plans, schedules and budgets for programs under his/her responsibility and recommends appropriate adjustments
- Develops product line investment business cases, new business growth strategies and drives annual strategic planning efforts for the business
- Identifies product requirements for key program pursuits and development of the product line
- Oversees creation of product and solution roadmaps and identifies opportunities to generate product reuse across multiple programs
- Identifies and reacts to program problems and recommends solutions, such as allocation of resources and changing contractual specifications, and assists in resolution development for escalated problems
- Supervises the appropriate use of all resources allocated to the program to ensure efficient use of resources
- Supports the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operational budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization’s interests
- Execution responsibilities include cost, schedule, technical performance, risk management, product support, manufacturing, and quality of all assigned product lines
- Work with all business units to ensure customer commitments are met or exceeded
- Interfaces with internal and external customers for project specifications to ensure successful completion
- Leads decision making for the IPTs and applying critical thinking where incomplete data exists
- Develops internal and external networks and effectively communicates and motivates a team
- Communicates vision to their IPT and stakeholders within and outside of the function, as well as connects how the vision fits within the Defense spanet
- Requires ability to communicate with senior executive leadership regarding matters of strategic importance
- Prepares and presents value-stream strategy, progress, and results
- Consolidates and presents progress reports at customer, program, or product reviews
- Manages multiple supplier relationships in coordination with Subcontracts Management
- Establishes cost focused performance targets and directs work to achieve these targets

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

- Experience in leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment, particularly in aerospace or defense industries
- Proven ability to drive strategic growth initiatives, including product line development and roadmap creation, within a highly regulated environment
- Strong contract negotiation skills, with a background in managing supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with government contractual requirements

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
