The graduate mechanical/ Welding / Equivalent Degree. Engineer with 3-5years of experience
Essential Responsibilities:
- Experience in Aviation Welding, Fabrication Industry and process piping.
- Ability to analyze welding defects, identify root causes and provide efficient solution
- Shall have sound knowledge of GTAW process.
- Shall have hands on experience in stainless steel and Inconel tube fabrication and welding.
- Working experience with GE Aviation P Specification is added advantage.
- Preparation of Control Plans, PFMEA and QAP,WPS/PQR, Welder performance qualification Liaison with Design Department for any clarification in drawing.
- Prepare summary of customer spec for welding and fabrication requirements.
- Knowledge of code AMS, AWS D17.1, NADCAP ASME Sec IX. Sec VIII Understanding of AS 9100 and ISO 9000:2000 Quality Standard Demonstrated ability in reviewing and approving customer weld documentation according to customer specification AMS, ASME, AWS, EN, or DIN welding standards.
- Knowledge of fabrication practices and quality control of piping and components made out of pipes & forging knowledge of ASME Sec II C for filler material control. Knowledge of ERP (Oracle) , Item Code Creation , BOM Creation , Router Creation, Work Order releases.
- Experience with basic NDT methods according to ASNT/EN standards
- Must have working experience of coordinating purchase of material by providing correct material specifications and identifying the manufacturing requirements of such material, like impact testing requirements, etc. Knowledge of WPS/PQR preparation and Sec IX.
- Hands on experience of making WPS and PQR would be added advantage, but not mandatory. Knowledge of fabrication and process followed at shop floor. Expertise in fabrication techniques, distortion control, fixturing and positioning of weldments Expertise in weld inspections, measurement equipment and calibration.
- Experience in weld procedure qualification for SS and Inconel alloys. Must have experience of fabrication and production planning. Ability to maneuver through fabrication shop environments Must be familiar with EHS practices inside workshop as well as on site.
- Understanding of machining practices and familiarity with machine tools, CNC setup, tooling, cutters, taps, inserts, optical tools and calibration processes
Qualifications/Requirements:
- The graduate mechanical/ Welding / Equivalent Degree. Engineer with 3-5years of experience
- Certified Welding Inspector or Equivalent Certification AWS CWI / CSWIP / IWE. ASNT Level II in UT, RT, PT or MT Advanced Degree in Welding Engineering Understanding of AWS D17.1
