Job Summary:
The MENA Region Supplier Development & Performance Associate Director is a pivotal leadership role within Raytheons Operations & Supply Chain organization, based in Riyadh, KSA. This position is responsible for strategically overseeing the supplier development and performance sub-function across the MENA region, with a primary focus on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. With indirect reporting relationships to both the Global Supplier Strategy & Development (GSSD) and Global Industrialization organizations, the Associate Director will lead the development and execution of regional supply chain strategies, spanet and deploy intelligent commodity packages, and ensure on-time production execution. This role will spearhead a regional cost reduction program to address U.S. domestic network constraints with globally cost-competitive sources, driving significant savings across product and non-product groupings.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Oversight: Lead the development and execution of regional supply chain strategies, ensuring alignment with global supplier strategy and development goals.
Commodity Package Deployment: Market and deploy intelligent commodity packages, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery across the regional supply base.
Production Execution: Oversee on-time production execution, ensuring suppliers meet quality, cost, and performance standards.
Cost Reduction Programs: Spearhead regional cost reduction programs to address U.S. domestic network capacity constraints with cost-competitive MENA sources.
Supplier Development: Oversee the development of both new and active suppliers, ensuring they are led and supported to meet quality, cost, and performance standards.
Sourcing Maturity: Lead the regional team that progresses suppliers through the RESA process, aligning with prospective assessment requirements, program objectives, and global needs.
Regional Supply Chain Development: Manage all supply chain development activities across the MENA region, establishing reliable product and non-product suppliers to meet strategic objectives.
Risk Management: Identify and escalate supply chain risks, implementing mitigation strategies to help deter supply interruptions. Work closely with regional stakeholders, global industrialization, and supplier development functions to support offset and localization requirements.
Contract Negotiation: Develop favorable pricing structures with supporting terms & conditions that position the RTX portfolio for long-term prosperity
CORE Culture: Promote and drive a CORE culture within the regional supply chain organization to enhance operational efficiency and excellence for internal and external customers.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years’ experience in supply chain management, supplier development, or operations management, with a focus on the MENA region.
Leadership: Proven leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and indirect reporting relationships.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with governing agencies & ministries, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within the MENA region to engage with suppliers and stakeholders.
Languages: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
