We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Quality Assurance to lead our Quality team focused on passenger seating manufacturing for commercial aircraft. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving quality improvements, establishing robust processes, and ensuring adherence to stringent quality standards. Your leadership will directly impact our ability to deliver superior products to our customers and contribute to the overall success of Collins Aerospace.

What You Will Do:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans, guidelines, and policies to achieve quality targets and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Quality Management: Direct the development and implementation of organization-wide projects and processes to enhance overall product quality and reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes.

  • Data-Driven Insights: Oversee the collection and analysis of quality data from various sources to develop long-term quality strategies and programs.

  • Process Improvement: Lead production process analyses to ensure compliance with quality standards, making recommendations for enhancements as needed.

  • Talent Development: Develop and mentor team members, establishing a strong talent pipeline to support current and future business needs.

  • Collaborative Partnerships: Foster collaborative relationships with functional and business leaders to promote a transformative quality organization aligned with business objectives.

  • Quality Assurance Standards: Develop and implement program quality plans and procedures utilizing APQP processes to ensure rigorous quality assurance throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Prior Quality Management experience is preferred in an aerospace or other manufacturing industry.

  • Experience with APQP- Advance Product Quality Planning and tools.

  • Experience with operational performance improvement planning and execution is preferred.

  • AS9100 experience is preferred.

  • Prior management or supervisory experience is preferred.

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
