The Associate Program Manager (APM) for the Navigation Positioning Systems (NPS) business area will work with seasoned Navy Landing System and Navy personnel in the development and upgrades of radar systems and radar subsystems, integration of systems with radar systems, development of advanced millimeter wave radar based landing systems, integration of GPS and radar systems, and pursuit of other advanced technologies for navigation and landing systems. Responsibilities include management of all aspects of cost, schedule, and performance for their assigned programs, in accordance with the approved SNC processes.The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. Responsibilities:
- Ensure a continuous line of communication is kept open with the appropriate internal and external customer representatives to maintain a high level of program status awareness, provide timely recognition and resolution of problems.
- Assist in identifying the staffing/resource needs for assigned and projected programs to ensure adequate staffing for successful program completion.
- Perform Risk Analysis to ensure successful program execution.
- Assist in the development of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) compliant proposals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager/Director of Programs
- Assists in ensuring compliance with approved Corporate and AS9100 Policies and Processes
Must-haves:
- Bachelors degree in a related field
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

- At least 1 year of experience in the defense or aerospace industry.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and MS Project.
- Willing to travel for the purposes of supporting and participating in design or spaneting presentations, field testing and interaction with customers and subcontractors.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Preferred:
- Typically 1-3 years of related experience or; Bachelors in Engineering, Aerospace or Program Management.
- Typically 1-3 years of program management experience managing projects requiring Earned Value Management.
- Experience with ensuring compliance with approved Corporate and ISO 9001:2000 Policies and Processes.
- General knowledge of GPS and Radar systems is a plus.
