Automation Development Lead

Reports to: Senior Automation Development Lead 

This role is responsible for leading the automation development team and defining automation platform orchestration.  This person will need to have very solid technical background across different areas including Cloud technology, Infrastructure and Network to support the automation team to provide the best automation solution.

• Lead the ServiceNow ITOM PVT team for all the related development work and maintenance under the ServiceNow ITOM platform
• Identify ways to drive growth, productivity and improvement for the Company
• Lead to investigate automation approaches, prototype and evaluate technical feasibility with other IT infrastructure related teams and application development team
• Lead and manage internal and external development resources for assigned projects that are aligned with company strategic directions
• Participate in the organization and planning of development schedules
• Assist development teams with making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition
• Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress; update agile tracking systems to provide transparency on product, release, and sprint backlogs.
• Identify and remove impediments; prevent distractions that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver the sprint goal
• Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritisation, team accountability, and visibility
• Assist with internal and external communication to provide transparency
• Adapt plans, schedules, and resource assignments as required to respond to emerging requirements and risks
• Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices; maintain process documentation
• Accountable for team resource planning
• Manage external 3rd party resource
• Provide direction and mentorship to less experience team members

• Minimum 5 years’ solid development experience in the IT industry and at least 1 year in team leading role
• Solid experience with cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, Alicloud
• Solid experience with Java script, Restful API, JSON, XML
• Experience with monitoring and log analytic like Elastic or similar product
• Experience with ServiceNow ITOM is a plus
• Solid experienced with full lifecycle of code development work
• Degree qualifications (or equivalent education qualifications) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
