This position reports directly to the Director of Avionics Sales & Business Development.
Responsibilities:
Maintains high level of involvement in all aspects of the sales process by working directly with customers for their assigned Avionics products.
Responsible for avionics sales in North America - Eastern Region (east of Mississippi River including eastern Canada). Identify and create opportunities (RFQ’s), and drive growth (Revenue & Margin) for their assigned Avionics products, while maintaining a high degree of success in closing those opportunities.
Works closely with regional Sales Managers, site management, production and scheduling departments to ensure a complete and accurate proposal, plus a smooth transition from point of sale to production hand-off.
This person must display a passion for sales and a proven track record of performance by remaining available for customers, striving continuously for success and working hard for the success of the entire team. Responsible for meeting financial objectives (Revenue & Margin quotas) for multiple Avionics products.
Provides input for development of annual sales plan for assigned Avionics products.
Executes on goals and objectives for assigned Avionics products that are consistent with corporate strategy and MBO’s.
Maintains high visibility in industry through involvement with trade association events, customer events, and supplier sales events.
Participates in continuous improvement of sales processes and remains active to meet Best Practices processes for the position. Maintains high level of professionalism and customer service to our external and internal customers.
Maintains oversight responsibility of all sales opportunities for assigned Avionics products, to forecast, create, deliver, and team sell to drive a result to obtain >85 shop capacity.
Travel as required to meet objective while managing expenses to planned budget. (60)
Displays and promotes a high level of Customer Service skills. Participates in customer relations activities such as solving credit concerns through creative means, monitoring competitive changes, customer follow-ups, entertaining customers and provide facility tours, as needed.
Position Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Business or related field and/or five years proven technical sales experience in the corporate aviation industry.
Minimum of three (3) years of Aircraft Maintenance related experience, preferably within Corporate Aviation and with thorough avionics expertise / knowledge.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Demonstrates leadership skills and presents a positive and professional image at all times.
Strong avionics integration knowledge is required.
Ability to discuss avionics quotes in intricate detail with the end customer.
Creative thinking is extremely important.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationship with avionics vendors.
Attend trade shows as applicable.
Proficient in Computer applications: MSWord, Excel, and the Internet, experience with SalesForce.com is a plus.
Must hold a valid and current driver’s license.
Must hold a valid and current US passport.
TSA pre-check authorization preferred.
Assertive, high energy and self-motivated individual.
This is a remote position working from a home office supporting the assigned sales region.
Candidate must reside in the U.S. region, with preference for living near a commercial airport hub.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
