The Leonardo DRS Naval Electronics business provides leading naval computing infrastructure, network and data distribution and middleware enterprise services, as well as world-class manufacturing and support capabilities.
Job Summary
This position will support multiple Lines of Business to include RF Systems, Weapon Systems, Underwater & Surface Networks and Computing, and will lead individual or multiple captures owning the process to mature opportunities for a winning solution for the Naval Electronics Business Unit.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage captures within the Naval Electronics business unit.
- Lead major capture efforts (priority pursuits) to successful completion.
- Develop capture strategy, internal and external teaming, business plans and spaneting, and executive engagement plan.
- Lead and facilitate win strategy development including technical, management, teaming, past performance, staffing, pricing, etc.
- In collaboration with BD, Lead development of Customer profiles, including Customer needs, issues, and goals.
- Lead and coordinate competitive assessments, determining strengths and weaknesses and potential competitors and teaming opportunities.
- Collaborate with Functional Leaders, Solution Architects and SMEs to develop solutions that offer Customers recognized value, are price competitive, executable and will be evaluated favorably.
- Prepare and lead Milestone Reviews, and other reviews as required once opportunity is assigned.
- Develop M&S/B&P spend plans and track all associated expenses with capture efforts.
- Manage capture personnel, coordinate with responsible lines/accounts, align resources required for pursuit of opportunities, develop and improve upon processes, manage B&P budgets, mentor junior capture managers, report metrics/manage risk and effectively lead growth within the Business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in spaneting or engineering or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience - Master’s degree preferred
- Proven track record of successful capture management utilizing the DoD acquisition process
- Prior experience with Navy, Air Force, Army and/or Marines acquisitions
- Knowledgeable in spaneting and experience developing a competitive spaneting strategy
- Must possess outstanding analytical skills and have well developed skills in the area of planning, organizing and negotiation
- Experience with acquisitions, joint ventures, due diligence necessary
- Excellent communication skills to include demonstrated successful executive presentation skills

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
The expected pay scale for this position if based in our Burnsville, Minnesota location is $121,470/year - $188,582/year. The expected pay scale for this position if based in our Frederick, MD or Washington, DC location is $126,991/year - $197,154/year. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly.
